Hearing request for a economic impact study from the Office of the Controller on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) festivals, street fairs, parades, and large scale events in San Francisco; exploring small business and job creation within the industry; the economic impact of LGBT event visitors on hotel, retail, nightlife, and other tourism sectors; and the amount of taxes paid to the City and State by LGBT event organizations and businesses that serve them; and discussing the findings of the Economic Impact Report and how the City may adequately offer support through its policies and procedures.
