Motion requesting the Legislative Analyst to research and obtain information on families with children who are evicted each year through the Owner Move In (OMI) eviction process; to work with all family service providers, eviction defense groups, landlord or apartment associations, and tenant groups to obtain data, hard numbers or anecdotal, that lend information to how many families face OMI evictions each year. We would also like to know how many families are threatened by OMI eviction and take relocation monies without reporting these evictions to the San Francisco Rent Board.
