Motion requesting the Legislative Analyst to research, analyze, and gather data on the following issue(s): (1) What kind of discounts do the public transit systems (both national and international) give to youth between the ages of 18 to 24? How has that impacted the number of youth that ride on the public transportation system? Has that led to an increase/decrease in youth riders? (2) What are the various kinds of discounts given to students nationally and internationally? (3) What is the usual cut off age for what is defined youth in the public transportation system for San Francisco?
