Title: Hearing to discuss current procedures for performance audits of City departments in order to develop a citywide procedure and a set of criteria to be used to trigger audits and track whether City departments have complied with recommendations in the audit findings. The hearing will focus on, but not limited to, the following: (1) What are the criteria used to select departments for performance audits; (2) Which City department was last audited and what were the findings and/or recommendations; (3) What measures are in place to track City department compliance to recommendations; (4) What are the costs for implementing such audits; (5) What is the feasibility of having outside agencies perform audits on City departments; 6) Department heads should plan on attending the hearing if your department has had an audit within the last year when the hearing is scheduled.
