Ordinance amending the San Francisco Fire Code to prohibit the sale, offer for sale, and knowing delivery for payment of lockable butane lighters with plastic components to any address or person in San Francisco; establish enforcement processes and penalties for violations; authorize the City Attorney to seek injunctive and monetary relief for violations and attorneys’ fees; authorize the Fire Department to implement the restriction through rules, forms, and guidance; and directing the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors to forward this Ordinance to the California Building Standards Commission upon final passage.
