Title: Hearing to examine the City's existing Event Management Policies, including how we evaluate the appropriateness of large-scale special events that shut down our City streets, public parks and sidewalks, and plazas, sometimes for days at a time, and have tremendous impacts to the residential neighborhoods in the South of Market, South Beach, and Mid-Market neighborhoods; and to receive presentations from the Mayor's Office of Economic and Workforce Development, Police Department, Municipal Transportation Agency, Department of Public Works, and Recreation and Park Department as to the steps being taken to address neighborhood outreach, traffrc congestion, loss of public space, quality of life, and public safety concerns.
