Resolution commending the National Coalition for Effective Drug Policies for its efforts in calling for an evaluation of our national, state, and local government policies by examining the racial sentencing disparities between those who are incarcerated ad those who are placed in drug rehabilitation or sentenced to shorter terms; also for calling for a study on the adverse effects such policies are having on the poor, women, and families.
