Title: Resolution urging Governor Newsom and the California State Legislature to discontinue permitting for any new oil and gas extraction, fossil fuel infrastructure, or petrochemical projects in California; and urging Governor Newsom to set California on a path to phase out existing oil production in line with the Paris climate goals, with a just and equitable transition that protects workers, communities, and economies, and require a 2,500-foot health and safety buffer between fossil-fuel infrastructure and homes, schools, and other sensitive sites.
