Hearing to review and discuss the status of small businesses in San Francisco. The Small Business Commission is requested to report on their role in facilitating a business-friendly environment, including their accomplishment and policies. The report should include, but not limited to: (1) number of small businesses located in San Francisco during each of the last three years; (2) their analysis of why this number has increased or decreased, and what San Francisco has done as a result of such; and (3) what best practices other jurisdictions have done or are doing to attract small business.
