Hearing to determine why coyotes have been tolerated on public lands by city personnel in violation of the Health Code; why the Presidio Trust has permitted coyotes to proliferate, despite complaints from Presidio tenants of threatening behavior and at least one lethal attack on a companion animal; to determine what plan of action the city has in place to protect people and their companion animals who frequent city parks; and how city personnel propose to find the remaining coyotes and relocate them to a place that is more appropriate in order to restore public confidence in the safety of our parks and neighborhoods.
