Title: Pursuant to Charter, Sections 2.103 and 3.100(7), and Administrative Code, Section 2.11, the Mayor shall discuss eligible topics submitted from the Supervisors. The Mayor may address the Board initially for up to five minutes. Discussion shall not exceed two minutes per question or answer. Mayoral Address: Mayor London N. Breed discussed last week’s Supreme Court ruling in the Grants Pass v. Johnson case, which determined that cities could enforce bans on public camping even if no alternative shelter is available. Mayor Breed stated that the ruling allows for current city mandated restrictions to be lifted and she is working with the City Attorney’s Office on how current polices around homeless encampments will change. Mayor Breed then discussed the City’s current homeless outreach plan that provides homeless shelters and services while being firm on the enforcement of regulations and penalties. Mayor Breed then addressed the above referenced topic submitted by the District 5 Supervisor. The following topic was noticed on the agenda representing District 5: 1. Rent Control
