Title:
Resolution calling on Congress to pass meaningful healthcare reform that promotes a holistic
approach to women’s health with access to reproductive choice for all and a robust public option;
opposing the Stupak-Ellsworth-Pitts Amendment and an amendment proposed by Senator Ben
Nelson that would limit reproductive choice; supporting a strong public option like that proposed by
Representative Raul Grijalva; urging the United States Senate to pass meaningful healthcare reform
that ensures access to health services, including reproductive health; urging the US Senate to
continue opposing the inclusion of anti-choice language in health care reform; encouraging conferees
to remove the Stupak amendment and include a robust public option; and commending members of
the California congressional delegation who supported a robust public option and opposed the
restrictions on reproductive choice.
