Resolution retroactively authorizing the Police Department to accept and expend an increase to FY
2018 DNA Capacity Enhancement and Backlog Reduction Program grant funds in the amount of
$61,170 for a total of $366,678 from the United States Department of Justice, Office of Justice
Programs, National Institute of Justice, to be used to upgrade software, purchase laboratory
equipment, and provide continuing education training for DNA analysts during the project period of
January 1, 2019, through December 31, 2020.
