Hearing to examine San Francisco’s preparedness for the upcoming El Niño storm season; review interdepartmental emergency response coordination, stormwater and flood prevention infrastructure, protection of vulnerable populations, public communications and emergency alerts, and plans to safeguard critical infrastructure, transportation systems, homes, and businesses; and requesting the Department of Emergency Management, Port, Public Utilities Commission, Public Works, Fire Department, Police Department, Municipal Transportation Agency, and the Recreation and Parks Department to report.
