Hearing to examine how sexual assault and sexual harassment allegations are handled by City law enforcement agencies when survivors come forward to seek justice against their attackers, in particular how the Police Department investigates sexual assault and harassment allegations and engages with survivors, and to explore the efficacy of the Office of Sexual Harassment and Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP), including how many complaints are made to the Office annually and how many get resolved, what does follow up with survivors of sexual assault and harassment look like, what policy recommendations have been made to improve the City's handling of sexual assault and harassment complaints; and requesting the Police Department, Office of the District Attorney, Director of the Human Rights Commission, and the Director of SHARP to report.
