Hearing on the plans of the San Francisco Department of Public Health and the Office of Emergency Services to prepare for a potential outbreak of pandemic flu or a similar large-scale public health crisis involving communicable diseases. Specific issues to be addressed include: 1) San Francisco's plans for maintaining services and operations in the event of large-scale absenteeism in all City departments 2) The role of the Avian/Pandemic Flu Task Force in developing these plans 3) Any preliminary efforts regarding pandemic influenza planning with the business community prior to the scheduled Citywide meeting in June of 2006.
