Hearing to discuss plans to implement California State Senate Bill No. 823, which closes California’s Division of Juvenile Justice and realigns to the counties responsibility to house young people who commit the most serious offenses, requesting information on plans and strategies for youth ordered to probation supervision in the community, youth ordered to out of home placement in a foster home or group home, and youth committed to a secure facility; and requesting the Juvenile Probation Department to report.
