Title: Ordinance amending the San Francisco Environment Code by adding Chapter 16, Sections 1601 through 1611, to: (1) prohibit the use of polystyrene foam disposable food service ware and require the use of biodegradable/compostable or recyclable disposable food service ware by restaurants, retail food vendors, City departments and the City's contractors and lessees unless there is no affordable alternative; and, (2) provide for penalties for violation; and amending the San Francisco Health Code by repealing Sections 469 through 469.10, which ban the use of food packaging and plastic food service ware made with chlorofluorocarbons.
